YORK/DELHI:

Day 2 DELHI:
Welcome,
your India
vacation begins. Meet our representative fora
traditional welcome & transfer to Hotel Connaught/City
Park.
Day 3 DELHI:
Morning half
day city tour of old Delhi Visting Jama Masjid , Red Fort and Chandni chowk.
Afternoon half day tour of New Delhi Visiting Qutab Minar , Humayun Tomb, India

Day 4
DELHI/JAIPUR:
Morning
Drive to Jaipur the pink city of Rajasthan via Samode villages, afternoon free.
Hotel Park Plaza/Jaipur Palace. Afternoon Visiting Hawa Mahal, City Palace and
Museum. .
Day 5
JAIPUR/AGRA:
After breakfast, you'll
travel in the royal style of Emperor Akbar to the Amber Fort atop festive
Indian Elephants. Here you will see the Maharaja Palace and its memorabilia. On
your way to Agra you'll stop at Fatehpur-Sikri, the deserted Sandstone City
built by King Akbar. This imperial complex of forts, palaces, mosques and
temples was short lived and today is a haunting testament to that era. On
arrival in Agra, home of the famous
Taj Mahal.

Day 6 AGRA/DELH/AMRITSAR:
After breakfast begin your day by
visiting Taj Mahal, the mausoleum built by a sorrowing Shah Jehan in memory of
his young wife, Mumtaz Mahal and Agra Fort, where he spent final days of his
life, looking at the Taj Mahal from a special
window overlooking the Taj.
Drive back to Delhi for flight to Amritsar or evening train to Amritsar.
Stay at the Hotel
Ritz.
Day 7 AMRITSAR:
After breakfast half day sightseeing of Amritsar.
Visit Golden Temple, The entrance to the Golden Temple complex is through an
ornate archway with intricate inlay work. The main north entrance is under a
Victorian clock tower. The architecture of the golden temple is a blend of the
Hindu and Muslim styles. The Golden Dome (said to be glided with 100 Killo
Grams(200 Lbs.) of pure gold is supposed to represent an inverted lotus flower,
pointing back to earth to symbolize the Sikh´s concern with the problems
of this world. Jallian Wala Bagh This place is noted for its most notorious
massacre under British rule. It is 400 meters north of the Golden Temple.
General Dyer
personally led the troops to the sight and ordered his men to open
fire without any warning. Today this ground has been changed to a park and it
has a pleasant garden. There is a narrow path between the houses which leads to
the lawn of the park. At the entrance there is a memorial plaque which recounts
the history. There is a well on the north side in which many people who tried
to escape
from the bullets were
drowned, and remnants of walls have been preserved to show the bullet holes. At
the east end of the garden there is a large memorial built in memory of those
who died here. Durgiana Temple, situated outside the Lohgarh Gate it is built
after the design of the Golden Temple and attracts sages and scholars in Hindu
scriptures from all over India. This afternoon will attend change of the guard
at the Indo-Pakistan Border, which is show of pageantry and pomp on both sides
of the fence and attacts thousands to witness this unique event. .
Day 8/9
DHARAMSALA:
After breakfast drive to Dharamsala on arrival
transfer to Hotel Grace Cottages. our days will be spend here to explore the HH Dalai Lamas
monastery, His administrative block with library, Tibetan medical center and
Handicraft centre, St Johns church in wilderness, stroll through the
streets of Mc Leodganj and mingle with Tibetan crowds. The town consist of
lower and upper Dharamsala, The lower is the busy commercial centre, while
upper with the suburbs of Mc Leodganj and Forsythganj, retains a British flavor
and colonial life style. Dharamsala's great attraction is the strong Tibetan
feeling, it was here "Dalai Lama" and his entourage fled after the
Chinese marched into Tibet. Leisure time for personal activity, shopping in
quant Buddhist bazaars and visiting a monastery or joining a yoga
Day 10
DHARAMSALA/DELHI:
After breakfast, drive to Amritsar and fly to Delhi or Train to
Delhi. Transfer to Hotel.
Day 11 DELHI:
Breakfast at the hotel. Day free for shopping and
or visiting the National Museum, Bahai Temple or
the bustling bazaars of Delhi. Delhi has one of
biggest variety of dining and entertainment choices to enjoy. So take a
pick and have a great time.
Day 12 DELHI/USA: Early morning transfer to airport for Air India flight bound for New
York.

Day 1
DELHI/SRINAGAR:
Mogul Gardens:
Airport meet and transfer to houseboat.
After a traditional welcome tea and biscuits, this afternoon you will
visit enchanted Mogul gardens of Nishat 'garden of bliss'
situated on the banks of the Dal
Lake, with the Zabarwan Mountains as its backdrop, commands a magnificent view
of the lake and the snow capped Pir Panjal mountain range which
stands far away to the west of the valley was built by Mogul
Emperor Jahangir, who was the father of the builder of Taj Mahal and Shalimar
the garden of pleasure built by Emperor Jehangir for his wife Nur
Jehan, is a beautiful garden with sweeping vistas, lakes, and shallow terraces.
The garden has four terraces, rising one above the other. A canal lined with
polished marble and supplied with water from Harwan runs
through the middle of the garden. The fourth terrace, by far the
best, was once reserved for royal ladies. Dinner at your houseboat.
Day 2
PAHALGAM:
After breakfast, we'll
depart for a full day tour of Pahalagam, an other premier mountain resort in
Kashmir, with its pointed peaks and green pastures. En-route stops will include
a visit to 11th. Century Temple and Palace of ancient capital of Kashmir at
AWANTI PURA, MATAN a temple town with ponds of holly fish which are fed
byvisitors and worshipers. These holy fish are not for consumption. As you
approach Pahalgam, you are greeted by lush valleys and rolling meadows
cascading streams offering panoramic views. Pahalgam is a base for
variousHimalayan trekking routes for beginners and for experienced trekkers
to
many Trans-Himalayan expeditions. Within a close proximity by
horseback ride or walking are the meadow of Baisaran, surrounded by thickly
wooded forests of pine. Hajan, on the way to Chandanwari, is an idyllic
spot for a picnic. This evening Return to your cozy houseboat.
Day 3 Srinagar
lakes and City Tour:
Today you will board small boats which
resemble Italian Gondolas
with canopies and spring seats to cruise
through Dal and Nagin Lakes. Float through a network of canals to the holy
shrine of Hazratbal and visit floating gardens and small villages along the
route.

SRINAGAR/DELHI:
