Day 1 USA/INDIA:
Welcome aboard our India-bound flight to Delhi, enjoy onboard hospitality. Indulge yourself with delicious Indian and Continental cuisine.
Day 2 DELHI:
Arrival in Delhi, where after a traditional Indian garland welcome you'll be escorted to Hotel Grand Intercontinental/Hotel The Park.
Day 3 DELHI:
After breakfast you are off to visit the capital city. The tour will include the Presidential Palace, Parliament House, India Gate, Qutab Minar Tower, Jantar Mantar, the fashionable Connaught Circus. Red Fort Chandni Chowk, Mahalaxmi Temple and Mahatma Gandhi Samadhi.
Day 4 DELHI/UDAIPUR:
Breakfast at the hotel. Time free in the morning. This afternoon fly to one of the most romantically beautiful cities of India, Udaipur, situated in a natural setting which include lovely lakes, marble palaces, luxurious gardens and Royal Temples. Stay at Hotel Shiv Niwas Palace/Trident Hilton Resort.
Day 5 UDAIPUR:
The morning tour will show you historical buildings and places. There is a big palace called City Palace that was built by Maharaja Uday Singh in 1725. There is also a palace called Moti Mahal and another one called Palace of Krishna. You can also visit a temple called Jagdish Temple, which is dedicated to a Hindu god named Lord Vishnu. Lastly, there is a garden called Saheliyon Ki Bari, which has nice lawns, gardens, and fountains.
Day 6 UDAIPUR/JAIPUR:
Flight to Jaipur. Check-in to Hotel Jai Mahal Palace/Raj Putana Palace hotel. Today travel in the style of Emperor Akbar to visit Amber Fort AMBER - Just 7 miles north of Jaipur with its a honey-colored fortress-palace in the Aravalli Hills. Enjoy an elephant ride along the fortress ramparts. The somber exterior belies the richness of the royal apartments which open on to striking views of the gorge. Walk into the Sheesh Mahal and admire the amazing interior décor thought of over 200 years ago. The Hall of Victory presents a galaxy of decorative art panels of alabaster with fine inlay work. For this evening, we recommend a rickshaw drive around the city displaying local life style in the ancient biblical way.
Day 7 JAIPUR:
This morning after breakfast, visit Jai Singh's Observatory built in the 17th century by the founder of Jaipur who, besides being a prince was also soldier, astronomer and builder. This is an architectural feat, drive past the Hawa Mahal an elaborate building encrusted with delicate honeycomb screens and carved balconies from behind which the royal Zanana, could view the world outside, the City Palace now a museum exhibiting fine Rajput and Mogul paintings, rare manuscripts and an armory, and explore the exotic bazaars.
Day 8 FATEHPURSIKRI/AGRA:
Enroute to Agra you'll stop at Fatehpur-Sikri, the deserted sandstone city built by Akbar. This imperial complex of forts, palaces, mosques and temples was short lived and today is a haunting testament to that era. Fatehpur Sikri is the best example of the culmination of Hindu and Muslim architecture. Fatehpur Sikri Mosque is said to be a copy of the mosque in Mecca and has designs, derived from the Persian and Hindu architecture.
Day 9 AGRA/DELHI: Taj Mahal and Red Fort
This morning Stand awe-struck when you visit the Taj Mahal at sunrise, certain to be an India tour highlight, as the colors on the white marble building give it a mythical aura. Completed in 1643, this exquisitely detailed monument is considered one of the finest architectural achievements. Our next stop is Agra Fort, built principally as a military establishment by Akbar in 1565, the red sandstone Agra fort was partially converted into a palace during Shah Jahan's time. Though the principal structure was built by Akbar, many more additions were made by his grandsons. This evening drive to Delhi for overnight. Check into hotel.
Day 10 DELHI/KHAJURAHO:
After breakfast fly to Khajuraho. Arrive Khajuraho and transfer to Hotel Taj Chendela/Radisson. This morning we'll visit the Tantric and Jain Erotic Temples. You will be amazed by the erotic intricately carved poses sculptured by the religious devotees, which cover the shrines.
Day 11 KHAJURAHO/VARANASI:
This morning we fly to Varanasi, the most sacred Hindu city in India. You'll visit Sarnath where Lord Buddha revealed his enlightenment to Nirvana. Hotel Taj Ganges/ Radisson hotel.
Day 12 VARANASI/KATHMANDU:
Our day begins with a boat ride on the Ganges River, whose holy waters draw thousands of pilgrims. This remarkable tour shows the cleansing baths and burning cremation ghats of Hindu Funeral Rituals. Afternoon fly to Delhi and onwards connection fly to Kathmandu. Airport transfer to Hotel Yak N Yeti/Del Annapurna.
Day 13 KATHMANDU: Kathmandu and Patan
We begin this day with a morning tour of Kathmandu city, visiting the Temple of Hanuman, Dhoka Square, The House of the Living Goddess, the Royal Palace, and the city markets. Afternoon sightseeing in Patan, city of ancient architecture and fine arts, renowned for its silver, copper and bronze work. Evening free.
Day 14 KATHMANDU: Mt. Everest Flight and Bhaktapur
Morning is free with an optional (but recommended, not included) flight-seeing tour of Mt. Everest. Ample time for shopping for antiques and gifts. This afternoon we'll visit Bhaktapur, the city of religious devotees built in the shape of shell, visit the Lion Gate, the Picture Gallery, the Golden Gate and the Palace of Windows.
Day 15 KATHMANDU/MUMBAI:
Today fly to Mumbai, a city that never sleeps, India's gateway to the world, with a population of 13 million, Mumbai is India's largest city and it’s most diverse, cosmopolitan and westernized. Thriving alongside each other are the Bollywood film industry some of India's leading industrial and financial institutions. An evening tour will delight you with colorful bazaars and multitude of eateries and cultural activities. Hotel Taj President/Hilton Towers.
Day 16 MUMBAI/AURANAGBAD:
After breakfast sightseeing tour includes the Gateway of India, The Prince of Wales Museum, Mahalaxmi Temple, Nehru Park, the famous Malabar Hills. Drive across famous Marine Drive of Bombay Harbor to airport for flight to Aurangabad. After transfer, check-in to Hotel Taj Residency/Hotel Ambassador.
Day 17 AJANTA & ELLORA:
Ajanta and Ellora Caves dating from between the 6th and 11th centuries AD, and 29 caves at Ajanta dating back to between the 2nd century BC and 6th century AD. The caves at Ajanta are all Buddhist, while the caves at Ellora are a mixture of Buddhist, Hindu and Jain. The most incredible thing about these caves is that they were crafted by hand, with only a hammer and chisel. While the Ajanta Caves are rich in paintings and sculpture, the Ellora caves are renowned for their extraordinary architecture. This evening we will fly to Mumbai to connect with homeward bound flight.
Day 18 MUMBAI/USA:
Early this morning final departure from Mumbai and arrive home the same day.
